Our amazing Guest Paulina Valenzuela is a trauma informed certified massage therapist practicing bodywork in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as Manager of the Massage Therapy Program at Space B.A.R. Wellness in Pasadena and Entity Fit in Monrovia. They identify as non-binary and prefer the use of she/they pronouns.
Born and raised in LA by a single immigrant mother, Paulina witnessed first hand the consequences of unhealed generational trauma and the broken systems that perpetuate these conditions in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. After losing multiple loved ones to addiction and suicide, Paulina began her own journey of diving into shadow work, shedding identity, and reparenting self. They also sought out to research multiple modalities of therapy to treat an undiagnosed chronic pain condition that had been ongoing for +10 years. This was the birth of the understanding of how much trauma the body can hold and how much it is also capable of healing from. It was time to do the work.
Paulina graduated from National Holistic Institute’s 800 hr CMT Core program in 2022 and is currently enrolled in Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapy.
They believe in assisting self through finding authentic connection within our own body and mind. As a massage therapist, they value creating safe healing spaces that maximized the potential for openness, trust, and release of tension. Paulina specializes in chronic pain management, deep tissue work and sports specific massage.
